Position Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Water Process Mechanical Engineer based in Gainesville, FL. This entry-level role is a great fit for recent graduates or early-career engineers who want hands-on experience designing water and wastewater process mechanical systems. The position focuses on pump systems, valves, and specialized water treatment mechanical equipment, working as part of multi-discipline project teams under the guidance of licensed Professional Engineers.

What You’ll Do
You will contribute to design tasks and calculations for water/wastewater process mechanical systems and support larger project teams. Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with system design calculations for water pumping systems, valves, and specialized water treatment mechanical systems
- Coordinate mechanical design details with architectural and other engineering disciplines
- Prepare and review 3D CADD/Revit models and drawings under direction of senior engineers
- Support quality control and ensure completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of assigned work
- Progress from basic assignments to more complex design tasks while collaborating with technical teams
- Participate in site visits, engineering reviews, and internal design meetings as needed
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications to be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Chemical engineering, or closely related discipline
- Coursework in fluid mechanics, hydraulics, or related subjects
- Experience working on multi-discipline project teams (academic projects, internships, or co-ops count)
- Demonstrated interest in designing building water/wastewater process mechanical systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
Preferred qualifications:
- Proficiency with Revit and 3D CADD tools
- Internship or prior work experience with a design firm
- Practical familiarity with fluid mechanics and hydraulics applications
