Position Overview

Confidential Client is looking for an Entry‑Level Water Resources Engineer to join their team in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an early‑career, full‑time engineering role focused on planning, designing, analyzing, and managing water‑related infrastructure and environmental systems, including stormwater, water supply, wastewater, flood mitigation, and watershed management.


What You’ll Do

As an Entry‑Level Water Resources Engineer you will:

  • Support planning and design of water, wastewater, and stormwater systems
  • Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, modeling, and system evaluations
  • Help evaluate and recommend treatment approaches and plant improvements
  • Assist with regulatory compliance documentation and permit support
  • Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and technical reports
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate with clients and stakeholders
  • Participate in site visits, data collection, and field investigations
  • Use engineering software and GIS tools to support project delivery

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with emphasis on water resources
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic data analysis and technical problem‑solving skills
  • Team‑oriented work practices and self‑motivation
  • Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred

  • Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain within six months
  • Experience or coursework in stormwater management, wastewater treatment, or hydrologic/hydraulic modeling
  • Familiarity with CAD, hydraulic/heavy software (e.g., HEC‑RAS, SWMM), and GIS
