What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Water Engineer to support water, wastewater, and stormwater projects in Conimicut, RI. This is an early-career role that combines office-based design and analysis with fieldwork and client-facing activities.

• Support planning, evaluation, design, and execution of water, wastewater, and stormwater projects (pipelines, pump stations, treatment systems, conveyance, etc.)
• Use engineering software and modeling tools where applicable, including CAD / AutoCAD, Revit, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, EPANET, and Modflow
• Assist with project management tasks: scope definition, tracking budgets, preparing deliverables, and coordinating with clients and stakeholders
• Conduct field activities such as site visits, sampling, flow monitoring setup, construction inspections, and water quality analyses
• Support asset management, data analytics, performance assessments, and optimization for facilities
• Prepare technical reports, meeting materials, and client presentations
• Use digital collaboration tools (SharePoint, BIM platforms, Power BI, cloud databases, augmented reality tools) to support project delivery

Qualifications & Experience

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline

Preferred

• Internship or prior experience in a design/consulting engineering firm or municipal environment
• Familiarity with CAD/AutoCAD and Revit
• Exposure to hydraulic/hydrologic modeling tools listed above is a strong plus
• Strong technical aptitude, good writing and presentation skills, and ability to work both independently and in teams

Role Details & Compensation

• Employment type: Contract, Part-time
• Location: Conimicut, RI (work performed locally; hybrid arrangements may be available depending on project needs)
• Salary range (provided by the client): $60,720 - $91,080 per year. Actual pay will vary based on experience, education, location, and other lawful factors.
