About the Role

Confidential Client’s Water business line is hiring an Entry‑Level Engineer to support water, water‑resources, and wastewater treatment and distribution projects across the Northeast. This role provides hands‑on engineering experience, training, and opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative team environment.

This opportunity includes participation in a hiring event taking place in Boston (interviews at the Boston office). Hiring locations for this role include offices in the Northeast, with primary work location listed as Chelmsford, MA.

What You’ll Do

• Perform engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures to develop technical skills and professional judgment.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, plans, sections, and visual aids using industry tools (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, AutoCAD MEP, Revit).
• Support design and evaluation for water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Assist with pump station evaluation and design.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling, analysis, and design for water distribution systems.
• Support sewer collection system evaluation and stormwater modeling and design.
• Work under the supervision of project managers and senior engineers; contribute to team deliverables.
• Occasionally travel to project sites and other Northeast offices as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review as a condition of employment.
• Basic working knowledge of industry‑standard software (examples: CADD, HCS, AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling tools).

Preferred:

• Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certificate or passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
• Experience with GIS and CAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit).
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, word processing, and standard office tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand project goals.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to work productively in teams.
• Self‑motivated learner who can take direction and, when appropriate, guide others.

Additional Details

• Compensation: USD 76,000 – USD 90,000 per year.
• Work model: Hybrid (primary location Chelmsford, MA). Occasional travel to project sites and other regional offices may be required.
• Relocation assistance is not available.
• Sponsorship for U.S. employment authorization is not available now or in the future.
• As part of a secure recruitment process, newly hired employees are required to attend an in‑person Day‑1 onboarding at a Confidential Client office location.
