What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Water Compliance professional to support permitting, monitoring, inspections, and other environmental compliance activities at a local client facility. This is an excellent opportunity to build technical skills in stormwater and wastewater compliance while working alongside experienced practitioners.
- Support onsite permitting, monitoring, sampling, inspections, and other water compliance tasks
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project deliverables following established quality processes
- Assist project teams with data collection, documentation, and regulatory submittals
- Help interpret and apply state and federal environmental regulations and permit requirements
- Participate in client meetings, workshops, and occasional site visits
- Follow site safety procedures and promote a safety-first culture
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, biology, chemistry, geology, earth science, or a related field — or a bachelor’s in civil, environmental, or chemical engineering
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (including internships, co-ops, academic projects, or related professional work)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Interest in learning state and federal environmental regulations and compliance processes
- Ability to be onsite daily at a local client facility; travel up to 25% as needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Class D Water License within an established timeframe after hire
- U.S. citizenship
Nice to Have
- Internship, co-op, research, coursework, or projects focused on water quality, stormwater, wastewater, permitting, or environmental compliance
- Hands-on exposure to sampling, monitoring, or inspection activities
- Demonstrated interest in professional development, certifications, or technical organizations
- Comfortable working in both office and occasional field settings; willing to learn from technical specialists and project leaders
Location & Travel
- Primary work location: Newburgh Heights, OH (work is performed from a local client facility)
- Daily onsite presence at client site required; occasional travel for workshops, presentations, or site visits (up to ~25%)
