Overview
Confidential Client is hiring a full-time Entry-Level Transportation Engineer to join their Morgantown/Westover-area engineering team. This role is ideal for a recent civil engineering graduate or an early-career engineer who wants hands-on experience in transportation projects, mentorship from senior staff, and exposure to design deliverables, permitting, and client-facing work.
What You’ll Do
As an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer you will:
- Support transportation design and analysis under guidance from senior engineers
- Assist with preparing drawings, technical deliverables, and permitting documentation
- Help develop proposals and support client meeting preparation
- Work alongside engineering technicians and civil engineers on project tasks
- Learn and apply design standards, modeling tools, and office workflows
- Provide thoughtful recommendations and contribute to team problem-solving
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0–5 years of experience in transportation or civil engineering (entry-level welcome)
- Successful completion of the FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) exam is highly preferred
- Experience or familiarity with MicroStation, InRoads/OpenRoads is a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a willingness to learn
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment
Work Location & Schedule
- Based in Westover / Morgantown area (Westover, WV). This position follows a flexible 5-day work schedule with hybrid work options. Regular in-office collaboration with project teams is expected.
