Position Overview

Confidential Client seeks an Entry Level Transportation Engineer to join their transportation team in Baltimore, MD. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience with transportation design, traffic and drainage planning, and construction document preparation. Candidates who hold or are eligible for a security clearance are encouraged to apply.

What You’ll Do

• Support design of horizontal and vertical alignments for roadway projects
• Assist with drainage and erosion & sediment control design
• Help develop maintenance of traffic and protection of traffic plans
• Prepare construction plans and right-of-way acquisition exhibits
• Use MicroStation and Microsoft Office to produce deliverables and coordinate with team members
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to meet client requirements and schedules
• Participate in project reviews and site visits as needed

Qualifications (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Transportation
• 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships or co-ops count)
• Experience with MicroStation and Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability and desire to work effectively in a team environment
• Valid driver’s license preferred

Preferred / Nice to Have

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
• Previous internship or co-op experience on transportation projects
• Familiarity with traffic analysis, maintenance of traffic (MOT) plans, and right-of-way plan preparation
• Active or eligible security clearance

Compensation & Location

• Location: Baltimore, MD (on-site)
• Projected salary range: $82,500 - $85,000 annually (actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, and location)
• This position does not currently sponsor new applicants for work authorization
