Role Overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Transmission Line Engineer to join their Power team in Monroeville, PA. This hybrid position requires a minimum of 3 days onsite per week. You will support the design and delivery of overhead and underground transmission line projects while gaining hands-on experience from senior engineers.
What You’ll Do
You’ll contribute to transmission line design and field verification work across project phases — from preliminary design through construction support. Typical activities include:
- Assist in development of detailed construction drawings for overhead and underground transmission lines following client and industry standards.
- Perform site visits and inspections during design and construction phases to verify field conditions and alignment with approved designs.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to advance deliverables and provide regular design status updates.
- Perform calculations to support structural and electrical design elements and prepare clear technical reports.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience; internships, academic projects, or co-ops in power delivery or transmission are a plus.
- Demonstrated interest in electrical/high-voltage transmission lines.
- Comfortable reading and reviewing design drawings.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong commitment to learning, professional growth, and working collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with Autodesk products (AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D).
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, PLS‑CADD or other structural design software.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and client coordination.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $75,000 - $85,000 (dependent on experience and geographic location).
- Hybrid (in-person + remote) work model — minimum 3 days in office.
