What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is expanding its traffic engineering and transportation planning practice. As an Entry Level Traffic and Transportation Engineer based in Stamford, CT, you will support multimodal transportation projects across regional, state, and municipal clients.
- Provide traffic planning, design, and engineering services
- Prepare studies addressing vehicular traffic, public transit, pedestrian flow, street-user safety, and parking for public agencies and developers
- Conduct field visits and oversee data collection efforts
- Perform conceptual design for proposed roadway and pedestrian facility improvements
- Coordinate with planners, engineers, scientists, and other project team members
- Prepare clear written reports and presentation materials
- Participate in relevant professional organizations and client/stakeholder meetings
Who We’re Looking For
- 0–3 years of experience in traffic or transportation engineering
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- E.I.T. certification or Professional Engineer (PE) registration — or ability to obtain one
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with GIS and/or CAD (AutoCAD, Microstation, OpenRoads)
- Familiarity with traffic analysis software (Synchro, HCS, VISSIM) is a plus
- Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain one
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application; Confidential Client is not able to sponsor employment visas for this position
Compensation
- Salary range: $75,000 — $85,000 per year (commensurate with experience)
