What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an entry-level Thermal Hydraulic Test Engineer to support thermal-hydraulic test planning, execution, and analysis in a laboratory environment. This hands-on role focuses on instrumentation, test setup, data collection, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely test results for engineering customers.
- Implement and maintain test instrumentation and apparatus for thermal-hydraulic experiments
- Specify test procedures and acceptance criteria in coordination with stakeholders
- Collect, process, and validate test data using established methods and software tools
- Analyze results and prepare clear technical reports and summaries
- Contribute to test-section design and development of advanced diagnostics suitable for high-temperature, high-pressure environments
- Work closely with other groups to integrate test needs and meet schedule and technical requirements
What We’re Looking For
Minimum qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science field from an accredited institution (a Master’s degree in a related field is also acceptable)
Required behaviors and capabilities:
- Strong hands-on aptitude for laboratory work and experimental methods
- Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records, and communicate technical results
- Team-oriented mindset with experience or comfort working across groups and stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience with two-phase (liquid/gas) testing
- Familiarity with test data collection, signal conditioning, and data processing workflows
- Experience using instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, imaging diagnostics) and lab-scale test apparatus
- Prior project or team experience involving multi-stakeholder coordination
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay range: $63,900 - $97,800 per year (range provided by Confidential Client; actual pay depends on experience and qualifications)

Location & Work Authorization
- Location: West Mifflin, PA (on-site work)
