What You’ll Do
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring seasonal Entry Level Tax Preparers. You will help clients complete accurate tax returns, provide excellent customer service, and support office growth through client retention and product recommendations.
- Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients
- Prepare complete and accurate federal and state tax returns, including multiyear and multistate filings
- E-file client returns and provide printed copies for client review
- Provide IRS audit support and basic tax planning guidance
- Collect and process client payments and ensure timely deposits
- Support marketing and business development activities to increase client retention
- Answer client calls routed through the national call center as needed
- Resolve client concerns or escalate to supervisors when appropriate
- Collaborate with teammates to meet office priorities
Schedule & Employment Type
- Seasonal role (tax season) — positions are typically part-time; schedules vary by location
- Flexible shifts available: day, night, weekdays, weekends
- Hours and availability may include part-time or seasonal full-time assignments depending on franchisee needs
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour (hourly range provided)

Qualifications & Skills

- Passion for providing extraordinary customer service
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills and comfort with arithmetic
- Sales or marketing experience helpful
- Experience in accounting, finance, retail, bookkeeping, or tax is preferred but not required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
- PTIN certification: Yes (required)
