Position overview

Confidential Client is recruiting for an entry-level Tableau Developer / Data Analyst through a structured training-to-hire program. This role is designed for career changers and recent graduates who want hands-on experience building dashboards, cleaning and analyzing data, and creating a portfolio of project work. The program includes mentorship, technical upskilling, and placement support to help qualified candidates move into full-time IT roles.

Compensation range: $82,000 - $127,000 per year (base salary).

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain Tableau dashboards and visualizations to support business stakeholders
• Clean, transform and analyze datasets to produce actionable insights
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and validation
• Assist with basic ETL/data preparation tasks and data quality checks
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and product teams to translate requirements into reports
• Participate in training projects and coached assignments that become portfolio pieces for interviews
• Present findings and dashboards to internal reviewers and hiring partners as part of the program

Who We’re Looking For

• Entry-level candidates or career changers with strong motivation to learn data engineering/analytics skills
• Recent graduates in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Statistics, or similar quantitative fields (degree not strictly required)
• Candidates with basic SQL and spreadsheet skills; familiarity with Tableau or another BI tool is a plus
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and clear written/verbal communication
• Willingness to follow coaching, complete project work, and receive interview preparation
• Applicants with career gaps or non-traditional backgrounds who can demonstrate learning commitment

Skills & Tools

• Tableau (dashboard design, calculated fields, parameters)
• SQL (SELECT, JOINs, aggregations, window functions preferred)
• Excel / Google Sheets for analysis and data prep
• Basic knowledge of Python or R is helpful but not required
• Familiarity with data modeling, ETL concepts, and version control (Git) is a plus
• Strong data visualization and storytelling skills
