  • Develop, update, and execute test cases for software engineering releases, Formal Qualification Testing, and Acceptance Testing (Agile or similar methodologies).
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting during test execution; perform post-run performance analysis and recommend architectural or algorithmic improvements.
  • Analyze and document test results; prepare software/hardware test reports and briefings for internal GSIL leadership and external vendor teams.
  • Support test events in the Systems Simulation, Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate and at remote test sites; provide occasional overnight or weekend test support as required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineers and contractors; keep test environments and lab operations organized and reproducible.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical discipline — or equivalent experience.
  • 0–5 years of relevant experience (entry-level through junior).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux; comfort using command-line tools on both platforms.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access) and technical writing for test reports and briefings.
  • Ability to configure hardware and operating environments to support test cases and analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail, clear written and verbal communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Desired Qualifications

  • Understanding of networking concepts and experience with RHEL/Windows command-line configuration.
  • Experience with automated testing environments, testing frameworks, and scripting/programming languages.
  • Knowledge of military and software development standards (or other relevant industry standards).
  • Experience mapping test cases to requirements and validating requirements via test analysis.

Location, Schedule & Compensation

  • Work location: Huntsville, AL — laboratory-based work at Redstone Arsenal (Systems Simulation, Software and Integration Directorate). Role is listed with telecommute eligibility but requires on-site lab work during integration/test events.
  • Schedule: Full-time, M–F, typically 8:00 AM–5:00 PM; occasional evenings/weekends for test events.
