What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry‑Level Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support DoD software systems for Sentinel ground and airborne launch control systems and related infrastructure. This is an on‑site, full‑time role based in Marriott Slaterville, UT.

  • Analyze customer requirements, concepts of operations, and high‑level system architectures to derive system and software requirements.
  • Lead system design activities and develop system architecture and design documentation.
  • Define interfaces and produce interface control documents (ICDs) for software‑to‑software and software‑to‑hardware integrations.
  • Develop and support systems engineering management plans, system integration and test plans, and verification/validation efforts.
  • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and development teams to resolve technical issues, risks, and requirements conflicts.
  • Ensure technical integrity, quality, and successful delivery of systems engineering artifacts within your assigned scope.

What We’re Looking For (Required)

  • 0–2 years of relevant systems engineering experience across DoD programs or similar complexity.
  • Hands‑on exposure to the full DoD systems engineering lifecycle: requirements analysis, system architecture design, interface definition, and verification/validation.
  • Demonstrated experience with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and SysML.
  • Experience with industry tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, and/or IBM DOORS.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, including Agile and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science) or related field — or four (4) years of additional SE experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD security clearance at the Secret level or higher.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity reading or understanding object‑oriented code (C++, Java, Python) to bridge systems and development teams.
  • Experience with safety‑critical or nuclear‑critical software standards (e.g., DO‑178C) and related verification activities.
  • Advanced proficiency with MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw).
  • Prior experience on strategic missile or complex system‑of‑systems programs.
  • Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity processes (RMF, SSDF), DevSecOps pipelines, automated testing, and CI/CD environments.
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or a related technical discipline.

Clearance

  • Active DoD Secret security clearance (or higher) required at time of hire.
