What You’ll Do

Confidential Client’s systems and autonomy teams build resilient unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and the command-and-control (C2) networks that enable them. This entry-level role supports networking, test, and integration efforts for C2 and edge compute systems used in contested or constrained environments.

• Enable UAS C2 capabilities through resilient network design and implementation
• Derive system, subsystem, and component-level requirements for networking and edge systems
• Design, develop, and maintain system components in complex system environments
• Document software engineering processes and networking best practices
• Assist in deployment, configuration, and maintenance of lab and flight-test networking hardware, including tactical radios, switches, routers, and edge compute nodes
• Support hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) integration and bench testing to validate network reliability and throughput for command-and-control and sensor data
• Build and maintain physical and virtual test setups to simulate contested, high-latency, or bandwidth-constrained network environments

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Physics, Computer Science, or similar)
• Strong interest in networking, system design, and engineering
• Familiarity with basic networking concepts (routing, switching, TCP/IP, latency/bandwidth tradeoffs)
• Demonstrated ownership and measurable impact from internships, projects, or capstone work
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to document technical processes clearly
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive, inclusive, and collaborative mindset
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
• Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD security clearance (sponsorship may be required)

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a network engineer, or similar practical networking experience
• Knowledge of Linux operating systems
• Experience writing test scripts or automation using Python, MATLAB, or similar
• Familiarity with RF integration, tactical radios, and UAS-related communications
• Experience with virtualized testbeds or network emulation tools

Compensation & Benefits

• US Salary Range: $100,000 - $145,000 USD (base salary range)
• Competitive equity grants for most full-time offers (where applicable)

• Location / Remote: Role supports remote/telecommute work with expectation to support labs/flight tests; candidates should be able to travel to test sites as required.
