About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Systems Engineer focused on C2 (command-and-control) integration. This is an excellent opportunity for recent STEM graduates who are passionate about systems design, autonomy, and unmanned systems. The role is remote-eligible with a primary base in Costa Mesa, CA, and offers a fast-paced learning environment where early-career engineers take ownership and deliver measurable impact.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, test, and operations) to define system requirements and architectures
- Design, integrate, and maintain system components within complex C2 and UAS environments
- Document engineering processes, system interfaces, and integration test plans
- Support systems-level troubleshooting, integration testing, and validation activities
- Learn and apply best practices in systems engineering to improve product reliability and autonomy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Physics, Computer Science, or similar)
- Demonstrated interest in systems design and engineering (internships, senior projects, research, or side projects)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of deliverables
- Eager, coachable mindset with a drive to learn from experienced engineers
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
- Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace engineering, or related discipline
- Hands-on experience with robotics, UAS, or complex electromechanical systems
- Familiarity with IP-based networks and C2 system concepts
- Understanding of air vehicle systems, ground systems, or command-and-control architectures
Salary & Benefits
- US base salary range: $100,000 - $145,000 USD (base salary only; actual offers depend on experience, education, and other factors)
