Overview
Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an Entry Level Supply Chain Specialist to support on-site warehouse and supply chain operations for the C‑17 program in Wyoming, DE. This hands-on role focuses on daily warehouse activities, inventory control, shipping & receiving, hazardous material handling, and data entry into automated supply systems.
What You’ll Do
- Be proficient operating mechanized and manual material handling equipment and hand tools (forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet movers, etc.).
- Process induction and movement documents for aircraft parts, ensuring accurate data entry and parts availability in automated systems.
- Perform shipping and receiving operations, including hazardous materials shipping and packaging/crating for transport.
- Observe, count, and maintain stock levels to match part names, codes, numbers, and sizes with inventory lists.
- Inspect parts for quality and report or quarantine items that don’t meet standards prior to shipment.
- Coordinate with internal teams to expedite material flow and complete movement of parts to required locations.
- Assist with traffic management, export control processes, and the movement of assets through repair cycles.
- Follow established Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and site-specific safety procedures for warehousing operations.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
- Experience working independently and in team environments.
- Experience in supply chain, inventory management, shipping and receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Experience in manufacturing, logistics, customer service, or related environments.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds frequently.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required for clearance). Interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post‑start is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, cranes, or other material handling equipment.
- Experience supporting aircraft programs, repairable/spare parts management (C‑17 experience a plus).
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, or related field (desirable but not required).
Requirements & Compliance
- Export control: role requires compliance with U.S. export-control rules. A "U.S. Person" per 22 C.F.R. §120.62 may be required for export compliance; note that the security-clearance requirement separately requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment: successful candidates must satisfy the client’s COI process.
- Drug‑free workplace: post‑offer drug testing may be required per client policy.
- Visa sponsorship: employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.
- Relocation assistance: not offered for this position.
- Shift: 1st shift (on-site).
Compensation & Benefits
- Summary pay range: $58,000 - $72,000 per year (actual pay based on experience, qualifications, and market factors).
