What You’ll Do

As a Supplier Quality Engineer (entry-level) supporting our Confidential Client’s Horicon manufacturing site, you will lead and support quality planning activities for assigned commodities across product development programs (PDP), current production, service parts, and continuous improvement projects.

  • Facilitate and participate in cross-functional quality activities (DPARs, FMEAs, control plans, design reviews, supplier audits, risk assessments, root cause analysis).
  • Identify, communicate, and help resolve supplier quality problems for PDP programs and production.
  • Lead corrective action processes (8D) for PDP and supplier issues and drive closure.
  • Ensure execution of Return Goods Authorizations (RGAs), Supplier Change Requests (SCRs), quality plans, and supplier improvement plans.
  • Use data and statistical techniques to analyze issues and verify corrective actions.
  • Support supplier performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Skills You Need

  • 2+ years related experience in manufacturing, quality engineering, or supply management in a design/manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with standard quality tools: FMEA, NCCA, SPC, Root Cause Analysis, and Six Sigma methods.
  • Strong analytical ability; experience applying statistical analysis and advanced data-gathering techniques to investigate and resolve problems.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting drawings, product models, and GD&T.
  • Ability to work independently, lead priorities, and facilitate cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.

What Makes You Stand Out

  • Practical experience using supplier quality tools (Supplier Audits, DPARs, Design Reviews).
  • Familiarity with SAP-PAG and SAP-PDM.
  • Audit experience (e.g., JDS-G223, Process Verification Audits, Special Process Audits).
  • Experience in riding lawn equipment or utility vehicle production processes.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles.

Education & Additional Information

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technology-related discipline, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Shift: 1st shift.

Compensation (Estimated)

  • Estimated annual pay: $107,624 (per source). Actual pay will depend on experience and site-specific factors.
