Role overview

Confidential Client (Engineering) is hiring an Entry-Level Structural Engineer based in Virginia Beach, VA. This full-time, hybrid role supports a variety of building and infrastructure projects (government, commercial, industrial). You'll develop calculations, contract-level drawings, and reports while learning from experienced structural engineers. Compensation for this position is USD 70,000–85,000 per year.

What you’ll do

• Assist in the completion of structural engineering projects across multiple sectors.
• Perform structural calculations and prepare contract drawings under senior supervision.
• Use FEA/structural modeling tools as directed by senior engineers.
• Support condition assessments and structural investigations.
• Assist with construction administration: submittal reviews, RFIs, and site observations.
• Help keep project deliverables on schedule and coordinate with project teams.
• Participate in mentorship and training activities to grow technical expertise.

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License (Motor Vehicle Records review required).
• U.S. citizenship is required for this role.
• Available to work on a hybrid schedule with regular in-office days in Virginia Beach, VA.

Preferred qualifications

• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification or progress toward it.
• Internship or related professional experience is a plus.
• Experience with Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Familiarity with FEA/structural analysis tools.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; self-motivated and dependable.
