Who Thrives Here

You are an ambitious, early-career structural engineer (often a recent master's graduate) who is curious, collaborative, and eager to learn from experienced mentors. You want meaningful technical challenges, exposure to real project work, and a clear path toward professional growth (including PE licensure). Candidates who enjoy seismic analysis, steel and reinforced concrete design, or advanced structural analysis will fit especially well.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform structural analysis and design tasks under licensed-engineer guidance, applying sound engineering judgment and applicable building codes.
  • Produce organized, accurate contract documents and deliverables that meet project objectives, scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Collaborate with project teams and clients: attend meetings, prepare technical documentation, and communicate clearly in writing and conversation.
  • Join site visits to observe field conditions and construction activities; document observations and relate them to design decisions.
  • Grow technically through mentorship, feedback, and project experience while progressing toward PE licensure.
  • Own assigned work, ask clarifying questions, share ideas, and contribute to team success.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in structural engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional candidates with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering plus 1–2 years of highly technical structural design experience will be considered if their experience demonstrates graduate-level proficiency.
  • Demonstrated advanced coursework or verified project experience in:
    • Advanced steel design
    • Advanced reinforced concrete design
    • Advanced structural analysis
    • Structural dynamics
    • Earthquake engineering (for West Coast offices)
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.40 or higher (strong graduate performance expected where applicable).
  • Unofficial undergraduate and graduate transcripts, as applicable.
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States for any employer.

Desired Qualifications

  • Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Additional coursework or experience in wood design, prestressed concrete, finite element analysis, or nonlinear analysis (West Coast).
  • Familiarity with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, RISA, RAM, Revit, Excel, Mathcad, SAP2000, ETABS, Python, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and commitment to collaborative learning.
  • Experience in seismic analysis and building design (especially for West Coast locations).

Compensation & Benefits

  • Annual salary range (across offices): $84,000–$112,000. This is a good-faith estimate provided pursuant to applicable pay transparency requirements; actual pay will depend on office location, experience, education, and qualifications.
  • Benefits include:
    • Health and life insurance
    • Commuter benefits and paid parental leave
    • 401(k) with company profit-sharing contribution
    • Employee ownership through a privately held stock plan
    • Financial support for professional development and activities
    • Company holidays and a generous paid time off program
