What You’ll Do
This position supports building-structure and parking design projects as an early-career structural engineer. You will join the confidential client’s Building Structures – Parking team and receive on-the-job training and mentorship while contributing to real project work.
- Assist in structural design and analysis for parking structures and related building types (rehab/repair, apartments, hotels, commercial buildings, retaining walls).
- Perform structural calculations and prepare clear design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Use structural design software and modeling tools to produce accurate models and deliverables.
- Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, code-compliant solutions.
- Participate in field inspections and site visits to collect data and verify construction conditions.
- Support preparation of client-facing reports, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Learn project financials, plan production, and client communication through mentorship and formal training programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline). New graduates (e.g., class of 2027) and early-career engineers are encouraged to apply.
- Solid understanding of structural engineering fundamentals, building codes, and load path concepts.
- Ability to perform hand calculations and translate results into CAD/production drawings.
- Experience or coursework using structural modeling/design software (the role uses industry-standard structural tools).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work within a project team and interact with clients and contractors.
- Willingness to attend site visits and perform occasional field work.

Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $84,000 - $87,000 per year.
