Position overview
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Structural (Buildings) Engineer to join their Manhattan, NY office. This entry-level role supports mid-level and senior engineers on building- and facility-focused projects (public and private buildings, structural evaluations and repairs, structural upgrades, waterfront/flood resiliency, transit and rail facilities). The position emphasizes hands-on design and analysis using AutoCAD, Revit, and structural analysis tools, with strong opportunities for professional growth and eventual project management responsibilities.
What you’ll do
- Produce engineering drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
- Assist with structural modeling and analysis.
- Help prepare structural calculations and technical reports.
- Perform structural site investigations and site visits; generate investigation reports.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and support senior staff on project deliverables.
Required skills & experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering is required; Master’s preferred.
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (entry-level).
- EIT certificate, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong AutoCAD and Revit skills.
- Experience with structural analysis/design software (ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, or similar).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced team environment.
- Clean driving record required.
- Note: This role title references security clearance; candidates should be able to obtain and maintain a clearance if required by specific assignments.

Compensation & additional details
- Projected salary range: $84,000 - $86,500 annually. Actual pay may vary based on skills, experience, location, and market conditions.
- Employment type: Full-time.
- At this time, Confidential Client will not sponsor a new applicant for work authorization.
