What You’ll Do
As an entry-level Structural Engineer based in Los Angeles, CA, you will join Confidential Client’s Structures team and support design, investigation, and repair work for buildings and infrastructure (including waterfront facilities). You will work under senior staff and contribute to project deliverables across the project lifecycle.
- Assist with structural analysis and design tasks for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood structures
- Support investigation and performance evaluations of existing structures and develop repair designs
- Participate in on-site investigations and document existing conditions and recommended repair approaches
- Prepare calculations, technical reports, and construction drawings
- Provide assistance during construction administration and coordinate with project teams and clients
- Use engineering software tools to model and analyze structural systems and contribute to technical solutions
- Learn from and collaborate with senior engineers; maintain a professional demeanor and strong technical standards
What You’ll Need
- MS in Civil or Structural Engineering (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; Spanish language skills are a plus
- FE/EIT certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail, analytical judgment, and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with structural analysis software preferred (e.g., ETABS, SAP, RISA, RAM, SAFE)
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report
- Availability to travel internationally for short periods when required
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
- Enthusiasm for learning, adaptability, and a teachable mindset
- Professional accountability, teamwork, and client-focused communication skills

Compensation
This posting includes a good-faith salary estimate pursuant to applicable pay-transparency laws. Actual pay will be based on experience, qualifications, and work location.
- Bachelor’s Degree: $79,560 - $81,640 per year
- Master’s Degree: $83,200 - $85,280 per year
This position is additionally eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Base salary is part of a broader Total Compensation package that may include extra hours pay, an annual discretionary bonus, and other benefits.
