Role Overview
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineering Graduate to join their Built Environment team in Edgewood, FL. This early-career role provides mentorship, hands-on design experience across concrete, steel, wood, masonry, and foundation systems, and opportunities to collaborate with multi-discipline teams on impactful projects.
What You’ll Do
- Support structural design and analysis for commercial and infrastructure projects under senior staff guidance.
- Assist with preparation of structural calculations, drawings, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with architects, civil/MEP engineers, and construction teams to integrate structural solutions.
- Apply US building codes and standards to design tasks (FBC/IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
- Use structural analysis and drafting software to model, analyze, and document designs.
- Participate in project reviews, design coordination, and client meetings as appropriate.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic familiarity with US building codes including FBC/IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
Preferred Qualifications
- GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Master’s degree in Structural Engineering or relevant internship/work experience with structural design.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Experience with structural analysis/design software (RAM, STAAD, RISA, SAP) or similar FEA tools.
- Familiarity with drafting/BIM tools such as AutoCAD or Revit.
