What You’ll Do

Confidential Client seeks early-career engineers and designers who want meaningful technical work, strong mentorship, and opportunities to grow. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Perform structural analysis and design tasks under the guidance of licensed engineers, applying engineering principles and code-compliant judgment.
  • Produce clear, organized contract documents and technical deliverables that align with project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Participate in client and team meetings; prepare technical documentation and communicate professionally in writing and verbally.
  • Join site visits with experienced staff to observe construction, document field conditions, and connect design decisions to real-world performance.
  • Pursue professional growth through mentoring, feedback, training, and work that supports progression toward PE licensure.
  • Own assigned work, seek context proactively, share ideas, and contribute to project- and office-level success.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master’s degree in structural engineering is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional candidates with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering plus 1–2 years of highly technical structural design experience may be considered if they demonstrate advanced-level proficiency.
  • Demonstrated core technical proficiency via graduate coursework or professional experience in:
    • Advanced steel design
    • Advanced reinforced concrete design
    • Advanced structural analysis
    • Structural dynamics
    • Earthquake engineering (for West Coast locations)
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.40 or higher (strong graduate performance expected where applicable).
  • Unofficial undergraduate and graduate transcripts, as applicable.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States for any employer.

Desired Qualifications

  • Passing score on the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam.
  • Coursework or experience in wood design, prestressed concrete, finite element analysis, or nonlinear analysis (as relevant to location).
  • Familiarity with software such as Revit, ETABS, SAP2000, RISA, RAM, Tekla, AutoCAD, Excel, Mathcad, Python, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential, initiative, and a collaborative learning mindset.
  • Experience with seismic analysis and building design (particularly for West Coast office preferences).

Compensation & Benefits

The range below is provided in compliance with applicable pay transparency requirements.

  • Annual salary range (all offices): $84,000–$112,000 (actual pay based on location, experience, education, and qualifications).
