Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Structural Engineer focused on advanced analysis to join their Engineering mechanics team in Atlanta, GA. This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer with strong fundamentals in structural mechanics, numerical simulation, and finite element analysis who wants hands-on experience across energy, nuclear, infrastructure, and specialized industrial projects.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform structural analyses under supervision, primarily for non-building and industrial structures.
  • Design new structures and develop repair solutions for existing structures, including systems subject to extreme or dynamic loading.
  • Execute linear and nonlinear finite element analyses using tools such as Abaqus and ANSYS.
  • Develop and apply facility- and project-specific design criteria for highly regulated industries.
  • Support preparation of proposals, reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
  • Review work produced by technicians, draftspeople, and other project contributors.
  • Participate in field inspections under supervision.
  • Perform engineering calculations using MATLAB, Mathcad, or similar tools.

What You’ll Need

  • 0–5 years of professional experience in structural engineering or engineering mechanics.
  • Master of Science or Master of Engineering degree with emphasis in structural engineering or engineering mechanics (e.g., civil/structural engineering, mechanics of structures).
  • Familiarity (through coursework or experience) with building and structural design codes such as IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.
  • Commitment and ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) registration within five years.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with technical teams and clients.
  • Proficiency with computer programming and numerical tools.
  • Ability to travel and perform supervised field inspections; may require a valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Report.

Compensation & Other Details

  • Salary ranges (good-faith estimate; final offer depends on experience, qualifications, and work location):
    • Bachelor’s Degree: $79,560 - $81,640 per year
    • Master’s Degree: $83,200 - $85,280 per year
  • Position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
