What You'll Do

This Entry Level Software Engineer role supports AI and innovation initiatives at a Confidential Client based in Vienna, VA. You'll work on hands-on AI research, prompt engineering, prototyping, and evaluation of LLM-driven solutions.

• Research emerging AI technologies, tools, frameworks, and industry trends.
• Evaluate LLMs and AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) for business use cases.
• Design, test, and optimize prompts for Generative AI applications.
• Build simple prototypes and proof-of-concepts using no-code/low-code tools or Python.
• Analyze AI use cases across industries such as Healthcare, Financial Services, Mortgage, Insurance, and Retail.
• Produce documentation, presentations, and technical reports to communicate findings.
• Conduct competitive and market research on AI products and services.
• Collaborate with engineering, recruiting, and business teams to identify AI-driven process improvements.
• Support internal AI initiatives including automation, knowledge management, and productivity tooling.

What We're Looking For

Candidates should be early-career or recent graduates with a strong interest in AI and practical exposure to LLMs and basic programming.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Basic understanding of AI, Machine Learning, and Generative AI concepts.
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar).
• Basic Python programming skills preferred.
• Familiarity with APIs, prompt engineering, and AI automation tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to learn new technologies quickly.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python, Jupyter Notebook, Git, or Google Colab.
• Knowledge of AI frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face) or OpenAI APIs.
• Exposure to vector databases, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI agents.
• Familiarity with automation platforms (Microsoft Power Automate, Zapier, n8n).

• Work arrangement: Onsite in Vienna, VA.
