What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is looking for an entry-level Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team working on advanced electronics software (e.g., software-defined radios, avionics, electronic warfare systems). In this role you will:

• Contribute to the full software lifecycle: coding, debugging, integration, and testing of complex software/hardware systems
• Perform integration, regression, and requirements testing for SW/HW systems
• Work in a hybrid format, splitting time between onsite work in Lionshead Lake, NJ and remote work
• Participate in engineering rotations, training, and mentorship opportunities
• Collaborate across disciplines with engineers, managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality software

What We’re Looking For

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related scientific/technical degree for entry-level (Engineer I). Master’s degree may qualify for Engineer II.
• Proficiency in multiple high-level programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python
• Working knowledge of software design and Object-Oriented Analysis & Design (OOAD)
• Eligible for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance

Preferred skills

• Real-time embedded development or hardware-related software experience
• Familiarity with Windows and/or UNIX/Linux operating systems
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
• Experience using AI tools to aid software development
• Existing security clearance (Secret or higher) is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

• Full-time salary range (provided by client): $70,828 - $120,408 per year
• Standard benefits for regular employees working 20+ hours/week, including health, dental, vision, HSA options, 401(k), disability, life and accident insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, parental and other leaves, and employee assistance/discount programs
• Additional recognition and incentive programs may apply
