What You’ll Do

Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Software Engineer (full‑stack) to join an agile team building software used aboard naval vessels. In this role you will design, implement, test, and maintain web and mobile applications that replace legacy paper processes and run in demanding, secured environments.

  • Work on full‑stack features across multiple modules: design, develop, refactor, test, and support
  • Develop web-based and mobile applications for shipboard deployments across multiple Navy hull types
  • Participate in all phases of the Agile SDLC (requirements, design, implementation, testing)
  • Contribute to DevSecOps activities: cyber scans, SBOM generation, CI/CD to on‑prem and cloud evaluation environments
  • Support integration and test efforts (TRR, PRR) with integration teams

  • A collaborative team solving real-world mission challenges, including large-scale data handling and DevSecOps pipelines that meet rigorous cybersecurity standards

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Eligible for Department of Defense SECRET security clearance within a reasonable period of time (U.S. citizenship required)
  • Willingness to work on‑site in Lakewood, OH or in a flexible/hybrid schedule as agreed

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Strong Java and Java EE development experience
  • Experience with one or more of: .NET, SQL, Web Services, JavaScript, XML
  • Familiarity with relational databases
  • Experience or interest in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with Agile development practices
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency with common collaboration tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)

Workplace Options

This position can be 100% on‑site at the Lakewood, OH facility or offered with a flexible (hybrid) schedule depending on business needs.


Compensation

This posting includes a combined salary range based on experience and other factors:

  • USD $74,050.40 - USD $82,149.60 per year

Actual pay may vary based on experience, location, and other lawful factors.
