What You’ll Do
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry-Level Software Engineer / Full Stack Developer to join their IT team in Five Corners, NJ. This is an early-career role ideal for candidates with 0–2 years of experience, internships, academic projects, or personal projects who want hands-on exposure to full-stack development and software engineering best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain web applications and software solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Contribute to both front-end and back-end development.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Work with relational databases and perform basic SQL queries.
- Use Git/GitHub for source-code management and participate in code reviews.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and collaborative development activities.
- Assist with application testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Learn and adopt new technologies as project needs evolve.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Exposure to front-end frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js.
- Basic understanding of backend development and REST APIs.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub and development workflows.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills
- Familiarity with Node.js, Java/Spring Boot, .NET, or Python backends.
- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Exposure to Docker and CI/CD concepts.
- Experience with unit testing, debugging, and API integrations.
- Prior exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
Compensation & Location
- Location: Five Corners, NJ (on-site / local)
- Estimated salary: $100,814 per year (estimated) — provided by the source posting.
