Role & Responsibilities

Confidential Client is seeking an entry-level Software Engineer to join a cross-functional team in Dedham, MA. You will contribute to design, development, integration, and testing of secure systems used in mission-critical environments.

• Develop, test and maintain software for next-generation Strategic Systems (NC3 business segment)
• Apply object-oriented design and development practices
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and iterative delivery
• Use GitLab for source control and CI/CD pipelines
• Write automation and scripting in Python and Bash
• Use SAST tools and follow secure coding practices
• Collaborate with systems engineers and external customers; communicate technical status clearly
• Contribute to design reviews, unit/integration test, and debugging efforts

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• U.S. citizenship required (work involves access to classified information)
• Eligibility for and ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret U.S. government clearance; selected candidates will undergo a government background investigation
• Familiarity with software engineering fundamentals and the software development lifecycle

Preferred Skills

• Object-oriented development (C++/Java/C# or similar)
• Experience with Agile development processes
• Familiarity with GitLab and CI/CD
• Experience with static application security testing (SAST) tools
• Python and Bash scripting
• Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including working with outside customers

Workplace & Schedule

• This position is fully on-site at the Dedham, MA location.
• Flexible scheduling options available, including an optional 9/80 schedule (every other Friday off), subject to client policies.

Compensation

• Combined Salary Range: USD $83,721.00 - USD $92,878.00 per year. Actual pay will be based on experience, skills, and other lawful factors.
• This posting may also display estimated market pay; actual compensation is determined by the hiring organization.
