What You’ll Do

This entry-level software engineering role with our Confidential Client is a hands-on position that will help you build practical skills in Core Java, Spring Boot, and microservices while working on cloud-enabled, production-ready systems.

  • Develop and maintain backend services using Core Java and Spring Boot
  • Assist in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
  • Write unit and integration tests with JUnit and Mockito to ensure code quality
  • Collaborate in Agile teams—participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews
  • Gain exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data persistence and queries
  • Document technical designs, follow code-quality standards, and resolve defects

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should demonstrate solid fundamentals and eagerness to learn modern backend and cloud technologies.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong foundation in Core Java and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and common design patterns
  • Familiarity with Spring Framework (Spring Boot preferred) and REST/HTTP fundamentals
  • Experience or exposure to SQL; familiarity with NoSQL is a plus
  • Exposure to version control (Git) and basic CI/CD concepts (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container tooling (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is helpful
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Must be willing to relocate to one of the listed office locations

Location & Start Date

  • Hiring locations: Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte/Raleigh, NC; Mesa, AZ. New hires will be placed at one of these offices and should be willing to relocate as required by the business. Final location assignments are determined by business needs and position availability.
  • Expected start window: May or June 2026. Exact start date will be confirmed in advance.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $65,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications).
  • This role is also eligible for the client’s discretionary annual incentive program (subject to plan terms).
