Overview

This is an entry-level Full‑Time software developer role supporting a confidential client in the IT industry. You'll work on cloud-enabled, data‑processing applications (OCR/ML pipelines, APIs, and React front-ends) and gain hands-on experience with Python, modern JavaScript frameworks, DevOps tooling, and AWS.


What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to design, implementation, and documentation of software features using Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Build and maintain APIs and integrations between backend services and React front‑end components.
  • Develop configurations and features for processing Safety of Navigation (SoN) data via OCR / ML pipelines.
  • Work with containerization (Docker), AWS services, and GitLab repositories; follow DevOps practices for CI/CD.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, increment planning) and collaborate on user-story acceptance criteria and testing.
  • Write and maintain unit tests, support continuous integration, and follow best practices for version control and code reviews.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • 0+ years experience (entry-level) with Python.
  • Experience with a modern JavaScript development framework (React, Vue, or similar).
  • Familiarity with Git-based version control (GitLab) and CI tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proactive, self-starter attitude.
  • Experience or exposure to cloud, service-oriented architectures (Cloud, SOA, Web Services) or virtualization environments.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with OCR / Computer Vision technologies (AWS Textract, Tesseract, OpenCV).
  • Experience with DoD aeronautical datasets or geospatial 2D data (HTML Canvas, OpenLayers, Leaflet, GeoJSON).
  • Experience with AWS CloudFormation templates and/or AWS CDK.
  • AWS Solutions or DevOps certification.
  • Familiarity with collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence).

  • DevOps: GitLab, CI/CD, unit testing frameworks

Compensation & Benefits

  • Pay Range: $57,850 — $104,575 per year (range provided by the client; final offer depends on experience, role responsibilities, and internal equity).

  • This position requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Candidates who cannot meet these requirements are not eligible.
