Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is seeking motivated recent graduates and early-career technologists for an Entry Level Software Developer role in Los Angeles, CA. What You’ll Do
As an Entry Level Software Developer you will:
- Contribute to real-world projects under senior engineer supervision
- Write, test, and maintain code in Java and related languages
- Implement and consume REST APIs and microservices
- Participate in agile ceremonies and follow SDLC best practices
- Use developer tooling such as Docker and CI/CD (Jenkins)
- Produce clear documentation and communicate progress to stakeholders
Who Should Apply
We welcome applicants who are recent graduates (BS/MS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related STEM fields. Candidates with internship/project experience, demonstrable code samples, or coursework projects will be competitive.

Required Qualifications — Software / Java Track
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
- Working knowledge of Java and understanding of the software development life cycle
- Familiarity with core programming concepts; exposure to JavaScript or C++ is a plus
- Experience or coursework with Spring Boot, microservices, Docker, Jenkins, and REST APIs
- Demonstrable project work (class projects, internships, or personal projects)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter attitude and eagerness to learn
Required Qualifications — Data Science / Machine Learning Track
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
- Project experience in statistics, data analysis, or machine learning
- Programming experience (Python preferred); Java experience is a plus
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and basic computer vision or ML workflows
- Knowledge of statistical methods and working experience with tools/libraries used in data science
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Motivated, self-directed learner with curiosity for applied ML
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Natural Language Processing (NLP) and text mining
- Tableau or Power BI for visualization
- Time-series analysis experience
- Experience with SAS or advanced statistical toolsets
- Any prior client-facing project work or internships
