Key responsibilities

• Contribute to software development tasks under senior engineer guidance
• Write, test, and maintain code in Java and/or Python
• Work with REST APIs, microservices, and Spring Boot frameworks (where applicable)
• Assist with data analysis, visualization, and basic machine learning workflows for data-focused roles
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver features
• Communicate status, raise blockers, and participate in code reviews and QA

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, or closely related discipline
• Demonstrable programming experience (coursework, projects, internships) in Java and/or Python
• Understanding of software development lifecycle concepts
• Familiarity with core programming concepts and at least one scripting or compiled language (Core Java, JavaScript, C++, Python, etc.)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, quick learner with strong problem-solving aptitude

Preferred skills

• Spring Boot, Microservices, REST API development
• Data visualization tools and basic statistics for data roles
• Machine learning fundamentals, NLP, text mining, or time-series analysis
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools
• Internship or project experience in software or data engineering

Compensation (estimated)

• Estimated base salary: $70,175 per year (estimated). Actual compensation will depend on experience and role fit.

• The client may offer skill enhancement programs for candidates who need targeted training to meet client requirements.
• Immigration support: the client can assist with STEM extension considerations and may assist eligible candidates with H‑1B and green card filing processes where applicable.
