Role Overview

Confidential Client is seeking entry-level Software Developers to join an AI development team within marketing. You'll work on two primary efforts: 1) the AI assistant on the corporate website, and 2) an internal marketing platform used by SEO, content, and marketing teams to plan, measure, and automate work. This is a hybrid, full-time role based in Manhattan, NY.

What You’ll Do

  • Contribute to development of an AI assistant for the company's marketing sites — agentic, multilingual, and production-ready
  • Implement backend services and API integrations (Python or server-side JS/TS) that assistants can call
  • Build agentic search capabilities (hybrid RAG, internal APIs, third‑party services) and ensure responses are grounded via crawling pipelines
  • Extend evaluation and testing frameworks for conversational/agentic features
  • Build a Next.js-based internal platform for SEO and AI-visibility reporting, page planning, work management, and automation
  • Create data pipelines and integrations across web analytics, CMS, SEO tools, custom crawlers, and business systems
  • Build APIs and AI-driven scripts to automate audits, research, and content workflows
  • Collaborate with frontend, UX, analytics, and product stakeholders to turn requirements into shipped features
  • Develop analytics dashboards and analyze usage/quality metrics to guide improvements

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, HCI, Software Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
  • Expected undergraduate degree completion between Winter 2026 and Summer 2027
  • Experience with backend development in Python or server-side JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with Next.js or an equivalent JavaScript framework
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases
  • Familiarity with REST API design fundamentals
  • Experience writing tests and following basic secure‑coding practices
  • Experience using Git and GitHub workflows
  • Clear written and verbal communication; ability to translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to learn unfamiliar codebases and technologies quickly

Preferred

  • Experience building LLM/agentic applications (RAG, agent orchestration, tool use, evaluation frameworks)
  • Experience with dashboards, data visualization, or complex filtering UIs
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and server/deployment troubleshooting
  • Experience working with web analytics, SEO, marketing data, or CMS platforms
  • Experience integrating with or building search/crawling pipelines

Location & Schedule

  • Work location: Manhattan, NY (office-based hybrid model)
  • On-site requirement: at least three days per week

Compensation

  • Estimated pay: $153,257 per year (estimated). Actual pay may vary based on experience and other factors.
