What You’ll Do

You will support construction engineering and inspection on water and wastewater infrastructure projects. Working on-site across Manhattan-area projects, you’ll help ensure work meets contract documents, specifications, and quality standards while documenting progress and communicating with project teams.

  • Document contractor progress, measured quantities, and daily field activity
  • Monitor and report on schedule and budget status
  • Review contract plans, specifications, submittals, and material information
  • Perform or coordinate construction material testing and acceptance documentation
  • Use contract documents to monitor compliance and identify/mitigate project risks
  • Communicate clearly with the client, contractors, and internal project teams
  • Maintain accurate field logs, photos, and document control records

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
  • Working knowledge of construction engineering principles and document control
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working on active construction sites and following safety protocols
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Hands-on experience or internships in water/wastewater construction or public works
  • Familiarity with material testing procedures and basic field testing equipment
  • Understanding of quantity measurement and progress-pay documentation
  • OSHA 10 or similar safety training
  • Eagerness to learn from senior inspectors and project engineers; goal-oriented growth mindset

  • Estimated base salary: $84,360 per year (estimated) — final compensation set by our client and may vary by experience and location
