About the Role
Confidential Client is seeking an Entry Level Scientist (Wet Chemistry) to join an environmental testing laboratory in East Longmeadow, MA. This full-time role works second shift, Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM, performing hands-on wet chemistry analyses to support environmental and public health testing.
Compensation & Schedule
Confidential Client offers:
- $19.00 per hour (hourly rate disclosed in source)
- Estimated annual pay: approximately $42,126 (based on posted hourly rate)
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
(Note: Final compensation will be set based on experience, education, and internal equity.)
What You’ll Do
- Analyze environmental samples using established wet chemistry and biochemistry methods to detect environmental contaminants
- Review and interpret analytical results
- Accurately record procedures, observations, and results to maintain organized, high-quality laboratory records
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment
- Follow lab safety protocols and wear required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves) provided by the client
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related STEM field — or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (training is available)
- Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment, including standing for extended periods and working around strong odors
- Willingness to learn laboratory methods and follow standard operating procedures
- Attention to detail and basic recordkeeping skills
- Comfort using and maintaining lab instruments

Location & Environment
