Shift & Compensation
Confidential Client is hiring an Entry Level Scientist to support environmental testing in a laboratory setting.
- Shift: Friday through Monday, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Pay: $20.20 per hour (estimated annual compensation shown on some sources: $60,730)
- Employment type: Full-time
What You’ll Do
As an Entry Level Scientist you will perform hands-on laboratory analysis that supports environmental and public health decision-making.
- Operate and run analyses on instruments such as GC‑MS to identify environmental contaminants
- Review and interpret analytical results and flag abnormalities for review
- Accurately document procedures, observations, and results to maintain organized, high-quality lab records
- Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment according to SOPs
- Follow lab safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
What You’ll Bring
We welcome curious, motivated candidates who want to build technical skills in an environmental testing lab.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another STEM field — or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (training is provided)
- At least 8 chemistry credit hours with lab coursework
- Comfort working in a laboratory environment (standing for extended periods, exposure to odors) and willingness to wear required PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves — provided by Confidential Client)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures and record data accurately
- Ability to work a Friday–Monday schedule as listed
