Overview

This entry-level Outside Sales Trainee role is a 12-month, field-and-classroom based sales training program for the automotive software & services industry. The program combines classroom instruction at the client's training facility in Dayton, OH with intensive field training alongside a Sales Mentor. During training you should expect frequent overnight travel (approximately 80–100%). After successful completion, you will relocate to an assigned territory as a Sales Professional with relocation assistance provided.

What You’ll Do

• Complete a 12-month sales training program (classroom + field training)
• Attend classroom courses covering dealership operations, sales techniques, product knowledge, and negotiation skills
• Shadow and assist an assigned Sales Mentor in their territory during field visits
• Travel with customer service and installation teams to deepen product and implementation knowledge
• Transition to a Sales Professional role after training and manage an assigned territory
• Sell software, marketing services, printed business forms, and promotional products to new and existing automotive customers
• Meet monthly and annual sales quotas and maintain strong customer relationships

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (required)
• Strong time-management and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability and willingness to travel overnight ~80–100% during the training period
• Willingness to relocate after completing the training program
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with fewer than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and no OVI/DUI/DWI violations in the last 5 years
• Ability to perform work in the United States (note: sponsorship is not referenced in the original posting; applicants should confirm eligibility)
