What You’ll Do
This Entry Level Sales Specialist will support outside sales teams by reviewing construction/layout plans, recommending supplies and materials, and building relationships with contractors and customers in the Lake City, FL area. This is an excellent role for a career-minded candidate who wants structured training and long-term growth in construction and building products sales.
- Learn product lines and technical specifications through a formal training program
- Review construction and layout plans to identify required materials
- Coordinate with outside sales representatives to prepare accurate quotes and material lists
- Communicate with customers daily to answer questions, confirm requirements, and support order fulfillment
- Assist with order tracking, documentation, and follow-up to ensure project success
- Support sales team research and territory activities as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; relevant internships or prior construction-related work experience are desirable
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to read and interpret construction/layout plans
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to take initiative in a customer-facing role
- Comfortable learning technical product information and applying it to customer needs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as needed for client or field visits
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
- Experience or coursework in civil engineering, construction management, or building products
- Any prior exposure to outside sales support, estimating, or materials supply operations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and basic CRM tools
Compensation & Benefits
- Estimated compensation (per source): $61,889 per year (estimated)
