Role overview
Confidential Client is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Entry-Level Sales Executive to build and grow hospital and physician accounts across an assigned territory covering Santa Clara and surrounding areas. This is an ideal role for a driven early-career sales professional who wants direct client-facing experience in medical/clinical diagnostic sales.
What you’ll do
- Responsible for achieving annual sales and profit objectives for an assigned territory.
- Prospect and obtain new business from hospitals, physician practices, clinics and labs.
- Present personalized sales presentations to clinical audiences and demonstrate how diagnostic services support patient care.
- Upsell additional tests and services and identify new revenue sources.
- Build and maintain a full sales pipeline and perform territory management activities.
- Schedule and conduct regular client visits and establish long-term client relationships.
- Provide timely, accurate reporting of pipeline, account plans and territory activity.
- Work closely with the Regional Manager to align territory development with company objectives.
- Monitor competitor activity in the territory and adapt strategies accordingly.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of sales experience preferred but not required; entry-level candidates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or two years of sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to present to clinical and administrative audiences.
- Demonstrated sound judgment, integrity, energy and motivation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and web-based research tools.
- Ability to travel within the coverage area and occasionally nationwide; valid driver’s license required.
Physical demands & work environment
- Use hands to handle controls and documents.
- Ability to sit, stand and walk for client visits.
- Frequent travel by motor vehicle within the territory; occasional nationwide travel possible.
- May be exposed to a variety of workplace environments when meeting with customers.
