What You’ll Do

As an Entry-Level Safety Specialist you will support the EHS team to help maintain a safe, compliant workplace:

  • Conduct routine workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards
  • Assist with incident, injury, and near‑miss investigations
  • Support compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation
  • Participate in safety audits and follow up on corrective actions
  • Assist with delivery of employee safety training and orientation
  • Monitor proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response planning
  • Communicate safety policies and procedures to employees and contractors
  • Help leadership implement safety improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Minor travel required (approximately 20%), with no weekend travel expected

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of workplace safety principles and OSHA regulations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • OSHA 10-Hour or OSHA 30-Hour certification
  • Internship or experience in manufacturing, construction, warehousing, or industrial environments
  • CPR / First Aid certification

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods
  • Conduct inspections in office, warehouse, production, or field environments
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Work in varying environmental conditions as required
