Confidential Client is seeking an Entry-Level Registered Nurse Resident to join a structured residency program that supports new nurses through preceptorship, simulation training, and ongoing mentorship. This role focuses on building clinical confidence while delivering safe, evidence-based patient care in a collaborative hospital setting.
What You’ll Do
- Provide safe, evidence-based direct patient care under direction of preceptors and clinical educators
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and update individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments accurately in accordance with policies and safety protocols
- Monitor patient conditions, recognize clinical changes and escalate concerns promptly
- Document care thoroughly and timely in the electronic health record (EHR)
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
- Participate in clinical simulations, skills labs, and classroom training as part of the residency curriculum
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
- Adhere to infection prevention, quality improvement, and patient safety standards
- Engage in ongoing learning, feedback sessions, and performance improvement activities
Who You Are
- Active RN license or eligible to obtain an RN license prior to start date
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN/ADN or BSN)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred or required within designated timeframe
- Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to patient-centered care
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a desire to learn and grow in a clinical environment
Skills & Experience
- Patient assessment and care planning
- Medication administration and safe practices
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation and clinical charting
- IV therapy and venipuncture experience (or willingness to train)
- Basic life support (BLS) and advanced resuscitation skills
- Wound care and dressing changes
- Vital sign monitoring and interpretation
- Infection prevention and control procedures

Compensation
- Salary range: $82,000 - $92,000 per year (range provided by Confidential Client; actual pay may vary based on experience, licensure, and site-specific factors)
Work Schedule & Employment Type
- Full-time residency position with rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays as required
