What You’ll Do
This entry-level recruiting role supports high-volume university hiring and delivers a customer-obsessed candidate experience. You will follow established processes, work under supervision, and help manage the full recruiting lifecycle for multiple requisitions.
- Source candidates proactively using phone, email, job boards and social channels to build pipelines for high-volume hiring.
- Reach out to candidates, introduce opportunities, and engage them through the process.
- Maintain clear, timely candidate communications to keep candidates “warm” between stages.
- Conduct candidate interviews and assess qualifications per hiring guidelines.
- Complete reference checks and pre-employment screening steps.
- Prepare and extend job offers; clearly explain offer details and next steps.
- Support new-hire orientation and onboarding tasks to ensure a smooth transition.
- Conduct exit interviews and document feedback per policy.
- Process employee status changes (transfers, updates) with accuracy.
- Follow pre-established recruiting processes, instructions and compliance requirements.
- Manage multiple requisitions and candidate pipelines concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate closely with supervisors, hiring managers, and the university recruiting team during peak hiring cycles.
- Maintain accurate documentation and data entry for candidate and employment records.
Who You Are / Qualifications
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in high-volume sourcing or recruiting support.
- Experience in administrative roles supporting offer processing, transfers, or similar employment transactions.
- Familiarity with common recruiting practices, sourcing techniques, and ATS/pipeline management.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and established processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling candidate and employment data.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with candidates and internal stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset with commitment to delivering professional candidate experiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
- Experience as a recruiting coordinator, recruiting support specialist, or similar talent acquisition role is a plus.
- Comfortable working under supervision and reporting regularly to a manager.
- Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and handle multiple tasks in a high-volume environment.
- Strong organizational skills and record-keeping.
