What You’ll Do

• Support design, analysis, testing, and development of rotorcraft components and systems under technical guidance.
• Create and revise CAD models, drawings, calculations, engineering reports, and compliance documentation.
• Assist in preparing test plans and procedures and support bench, rig, ground, and flight test execution and data review.
• Prepare and maintain technical records that support FAA certification activities (drawings, analysis reports, test records).
• Collaborate with Certification, Manufacturing, Quality, and Flight Operations to investigate and resolve design or production issues.
• Support verification and qualification activities when applicable (DO‑160, DO‑178, DO‑254).
• Participate in design reviews, root‑cause investigations, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Document engineering findings clearly and present results or recommendations to engineering leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Entry‑level candidates encouraged; internships, co‑ops, academic projects, or hands‑on engineering experience preferred.
• Preferred: experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, R&D, or related technical environments.
• Preferred exposure to FAA airworthiness processes and DO‑160, DO‑178, or DO‑254 standards.
• Preferred familiarity with rotorcraft dynamics, vibration analysis, flight test data reduction, prototyping, machining, or bench testing.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Tools

• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, dynamics, materials, electrical systems, or systems engineering.
• Working proficiency with CAD tools (CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar) and/or analytical tools (MATLAB, Python).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical data.
• Strong data‑analysis skills to identify findings and support technically sound conclusions.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to document work accurately.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across technical and nontechnical teams.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments, follow priorities, and meet deadlines with appropriate guidance.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily office and engineering environment work with regular computer/CAD use.
• Prolonged sitting, standing, typing, and reviewing technical information.
• Ability to move through office, lab, test, production, and hangar areas; occasional bending, reaching, stair climbing.
• Occasional lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling of up to 25 pounds.
• May require use of personal protective equipment in manufacturing, hangar, or flight‑test environments.
