What You’ll Do
Confidential Client seeks an entry-level Radar Signal Processing Engineer to join a C4ISR engineering team focused on airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) systems. In this role you’ll convert raw radar measurements into robust data products by designing, implementing, and testing signal-processing algorithms and software components that integrate into processing pipelines.
- Design and implement software tools for reading/writing and organizing radar datasets
- Implement radar-processing algorithms and integrate them into automated pipelines
- Support modeling and simulation of radar systems to characterize performance
- Design and execute software tests and validation activities
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to evaluate trade-offs and explore new ideas
- Participate in code reviews, documentation, and delivery of technical artifacts
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, physics, or a closely related field (degree completed within six months of the posting date)
- Strong computing background with proficiency in C++ and MATLAB
- Working understanding of signal processing techniques and their application to radar systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams
- U.S. citizenship required and ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government security clearance
- Willingness to travel occasionally as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, physics, or related field
- Familiarity with radar algorithms such as synthetic aperture radar (SAR), moving-target indication (MTI), and space-time adaptive processing (STAP)
- Experience with data visualization for radar/image products is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $69,000 - $119,000 (salary commensurate with education and relevant experience)
