Position Summary
Confidential Client (Scientific & QA) is seeking an Entry Level QA Laboratory Technician to join their on-site QA team in Edison, NJ. This is a full-time, on-site role focused on routine quality control testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure compliance with product specifications and regulatory requirements.
What You’ll Do
Estimated pay: $66,121 per year (estimated)
- Perform routine quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products following established SOPs.
- Prepare and label samples, run basic analytical assays, and perform sensory evaluations where required.
- Operate, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately in lab logs and electronic systems.
- Support QA documentation, including batch records, test logs, and corrective action documentation.
- Participate in investigations of non-conforming materials and help identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Work closely with production and quality teams to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant laboratory environment.
- Follow GMP, food safety, and laboratory safety procedures at all times.
Who You Are / Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in chemistry, food science, biology, or related field preferred.
- Familiarity or comfort with basic laboratory techniques such as sample preparation and measurement.
- Experience or aptitude with laboratory equipment operation, calibration, and routine maintenance.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording and documentation.
- Basic analytical skills to interpret data and identify deviations from specifications.
- Sensory evaluation skills a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) or similar tools.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Authorization to work in the United States required.
Nice-to-Have
- Prior exposure to GMP and food safety principles (HACCP, SQF, or similar).
- Coursework or lab experience in analytical chemistry, microbiology, or food science.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or QC laboratory environment.
