Role overview

Confidential Client (via Careertakes) is hiring an Entry-Level Project Manager — Construction to join an engineering-focused project team in Framingham, MA. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting ground-up commercial & industrial projects (warehouses, distribution, manufacturing, cold storage, lab/pharma). Ideal candidates have a construction-related degree, strong organizational skills, and interest in estimating, scheduling, and on-site coordination.


What You’ll Do

  • Responsible for managerial and administrative aspects of assigned construction projects: estimating, scheduling, quality control, progress reports, progress billing, design review/coordination, cost reporting, safety, and proposal preparation
  • Produce accurate, complete project estimates and assist with value-engineering ideas
  • Collaborate with owners and design teams to develop preliminary concept drawings and scope definitions
  • Participate in proposal meetings to review scope and recommend cost-saving strategies
  • Oversee buyout processes and selection of subcontractors
  • Conduct bi-weekly jobsite meetings and support day-to-day field coordination
  • Organize and manage multiple project activities to meet deadlines and budget targets
  • Track project performance, prepare progress billings, and update cost reports
  • Use customer feedback to improve processes and maintain high-quality standards
  • Make sound decisions under tight deadlines while maintaining professional integrity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required
  • 0–3 years of project management or field experience with a general contractor preferred but not required
  • Experience with ground-up projects strongly preferred (warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, cold storage, lab/pharma)
  • Estimating experience is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Project
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work on-site in Framingham, MA and attend regular project meetings

  • Estimated pay: $89,440 per year (estimated)
