What You’ll Do

You will join a regional engineering team supporting packaging and automation capital projects for manufacturing clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Assume responsibility for all aspects of project execution: line layout engineering, mechanical design, equipment procurement, installation, start-up, and troubleshooting
  • Manage vendor and contractor communications and procurement (OEMs, integrators)
  • Create equipment specifications, material handling concepts, and tooling requirements
  • Support estimation, project justification, budgeting, schedule management, and project finances
  • Convert field and client information into project documentation and installation/integration plans
  • Lead or contribute to project teams and site activities (installation, integration, start-up)
  • Apply continuous improvement tools (change control, ROI analysis) to improve client operations and realize immediate ROI
  • Ensure designs and work comply with applicable local, state, federal, and industry safety/regulatory standards

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or related technical degree
  • Entry-level / early-career experience (co-op/project experience preferred) with packaging lines, automation, or manufacturing applications
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office; familiarity with Microsoft Project a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and vendor interactions
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple project tasks and priorities
  • Basic understanding of project management fundamentals and strong analytical skills
  • Willingness to travel for installations, start-ups, client meetings, trainings, and industry events

Compensation

  • Approximate pay range: $75,000 — $85,000 per year (good-faith estimate; final offer may vary based on experience, location, and other factors).
  • Note: third-party market estimate published for similar roles may differ from the range above.

  • Location: Los Angeles, CA (onsite and client-site work required; travel as needed)
